Sowing Seeds with Faith

Objective of the Project:

Sowing Seeds with Faith (SSWF) seeks to engage youth academically and socially in the Greater Louisville Area in mastering developmental challenges via educational expectations, accountability, structure, and faith. SSWF sought McNary Group to create a summer camp handbook that was aligned with current policies and procedures within the organization to standardize summer camp administrative procedures, ensure the safety/security of camp participants, mitigate liability, and define the roles and responsibilities of camp staff and volunteers.

The Scope of Work included:

• Interviewing the Executive Director and Program Director to determine the current status of policies and practices at summer camp. 
• Organizational assessing, data collecting, and development of applicable language and a handbook.

The final product is a handbook grounded in trauma-informed policies including child protection policies, codes of conduct, and best practices regarding summer camp programming.
